Shawwal is the 10th important month of Islamic calendar. Like other twelve month of Islam Shawwal holds importance and significance to Muslim community of the world. In English the word Shawwal means ‘carry or lift’. This month is considered as the month of celebration and forgiving sins.

1 Shawwal is the day of celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr also known as ‘day of fast breaking’ is the biggest and most important festival of Islam observed by the Muslim community all over the world. This day is a religious holiday in every Muslim country.
8 Shawwal is a significant day for Muslim community as on this day of 1926 Saudi government destructed Jannatul Baqee, regarded as the Holy graveyard and Jannatul Mualla.
13 Shawwal is the birth of Muhammad al-Bukhari, an Islamic scholar and author of the Sahih al-Bukhari, one of the most authentic Hadith compilations of Islam. He was born in the year of 194 A.H and considered as the primary tradition maker of Sunni Muslims.
On 17 Shawwal Battle of Uhud was occurred and early Muslims took part in the battle. The Battle of Uhud was occurred in the year of 625. It is one of the most important events of Islamic history.
22 Shawwal is the death anniversary of an Afghan Sufi master and Islamic scholar Hajji Dost Mohammad Qandhari. He was died in 1284 A.H.
25 Shawwal is important for the martyrdom of Ja’far al-Sadiq, a Shia Imam, Islamic scholar and important personality of Islam.
29 Shawwal is the birth anniversary of Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib. He was the uncle of Holy Prophet of Islam Mohammad (S.A.W) and important figure of Islam.
